Hello, I’m Sevilla

Thank you for visiting. Are you facing a major life event, whether relocating to the area, ready to leave your partner or find one, thinking of expanding or changing your career, or facing loss of a loved one? Or are you finding yourself in an existential, or spiritual crisis? I will work with you to navigate these major life transitions and big questions, and to manage or even thrive in the place you find yourself. Together,  we can find your life’s purpose and help you find meaning in a world that is suddenly new and overwhelming.

You will find me open, authentic, and non-judgmental. I invest myself into truly understanding your experience and becoming an informed and trusted collaborator.

I received my MSW from Catholic University, where my focus was on therapy with adults and older adults.  I have also completed the Clinical Program at the Washington School for Psychiatry, a 2-year intense, psychodynamic psychotherapy training program. Additionally, I have a certificate in Philosophical Counseling from the American Philosophical Practitioners Association.

My passion is to help people manage any change, desired or undesired, and above all to do so by remaining true to themselves in any life transition. I am especially enthusiastic about helping people develop and implement their philosophical, spirtual and metaphysical worldviews to uncover and establish that true self.

I had a previous career in the arts, and remain sensitive to the struggles of creatively-minded people. I have lived in multiple countries for significant periods of my life, and the experience of starting life from scratch is baked into my DNA.

I use a hybrid model of therapy in which I meet once a month in person at my office on K Street NW, in Washington DC and other weeks online using a HIPAA secure platform.  Would you like to see if I would work for you as a therapist? Please contact me and let’s discuss your goals for and expectations of therapy. I offer a free 30 minute consultation.
